Thuto Pele Organisation (179-601) is a non-profit educational enrichment program registered in terms of the non-profit organisation Act,1997,founded by the University students of UKZN,DUT and MUT in the year 2015.

The program is designed to demonstrate that the trend of poor student achievement can be reversed and that all students can master academic standards if they are given time, support and instruction that focuses on their academic needs.

Furthermore, this non-profit organisation was started with the intention of assisting youth from marginalized communities across South Africa to access and succeed in post-schooling opportunities.

Our attention was drawn by a look at the disappointing pass rates of Physical Sciences,Mathematics,Accounting and delicate subjects, since they are taken as priority when students are being admitted to higher learning institutions.

The Thuto Pele Organisation currently has no funding.

All the operations that are done are done through funds which are contributed by the members of the organisation.

The members of the organisation are tertiary students who volunteer their time in attempts help the high school students in need.

Hence, the Organisation seeks sponsorship and donations in any form that could assist in its day-to-day operations.

Thuto Pele believes that the key to success is education and we are hoping to recuperate the pass rates of major subjects in under-privileged high schools, by working with the students in need.

It is believed that through dedication, hard work, patience and persistence the tutors and students will work towards achieving a tradition of excellence.
